Piped SS caps are so rare that all are suspect immediately. This one doesn't even get past the first look.

Hi Dave,
The cap is nice but has no weathering or ware, it is far to clean for an issued cap. I daubt it has ever been worn outside,

I agree with the above. It is a Frankenstein (re-build). Liner appears original.

Wait a minute, the insignia are good! the 254/42 skull is a very rare Deschler die.

I Can't say about the insignia. But the cap body is totally bogus. At best it is a frankenstein. The wear and staining of the liner and sweatband could never be paired with the wool body that undoubtedly has been prouduced in the 21st century.
It is only good enough to decieve a trusting new collector.

I would wish a shriviling desease that causes rot upon the scrotum of the crook that put this together.

Of course this is just a personal statement from me and the management is not to be held responsible for any scrotums of crooks that happen to rot and fall off.

I would also like to know about the insignia, they look ok to me,
but would like to hear from an expert on them. I am looking for the same type for my panzer cap. And Steve you nasty boy, lol
but i do hope they fall off as well.
