Sadly no story behind this one unlike the other I showed earlier tonight. But it is a nice clean dagger in very good condition. The only slight detraction is the broken clip missing from the end of the hangers.
Even though both daggers come from the same maker it is interesting to compare the fittings which are different. Dagger makers often bought in generic parts from other makers who supplied many companies.
Hi Ade , thanks for the close up , love it . I have a Paul Weyersberg 2nd luft and it has an identical crossguard as your Horster , must have used the same supplier ! I will show it when i get a moment .

Hi Ade , here it is it has a nice early nickel plated blade that is waffen inspection stamped in the form of a stickbird eagle with the number 5 between its wings
Hi Al, the dagger is a beauty! It is nice to see the gilt still on the swastika. The Luftwaffe inspection stamps are also a nice little bonus and are not found on every dagger.
