It says "original" on the blade ...so it must be!!
No, I am only joking ; to my feeling an genuine one, but I am no expert wait for better comments!
Hi All!
This is the third of the three daggers I own. I purchased this from the daughter of the vet who brought it back. According to his daughter, he served in the 787th Ordinance Company of the 87th Infantry Division. Active duty included the Battles of Metz, Saar Basin, and the Bulge, with additional duty including the liberation of Dachau. I just wish I knew which of these areas he picked this up.
Any history you can provide is appreciated. As with all of my daggers, I'd like to know if this is truly authentic and how you can tell.
Thanks for the help as always
Dzyner
