Hi Kevin, going by the webbing, this is a Czech made fake.

    Cheers, Ade.

Hi Kevin, please just don't take my word alone.

Sometimes they lack the stiffening material in between the webbing.

I have one original in my collection.

These items are well faked and have been for a few years now. Sometimes the hardware is actually original but taken from scrap tornister packs etc. You can see a fake ( sold as such) here

    http://www.1944militaria.com/a_frame.jpg

Even a fake costs £60 or about $100.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Hi,

sorry if I "conquer" this thread, but why open a new one when this one is already dealing with A-frames.

I am interested in your oppinion on this A-frame. Personally I think it is a repro. I was fooled by the used look and the maker marked hardware, but now I see the web material is different from other eamples I've seen, the sewing is not done very thoroughly. And the stamped maker mark does not seem to belong to this kind of equipment.

    What do you think?

    Chris
