Fixed bale M1 helmet

This was my first fixed bale I bought along time ago. The guy I bought it from said it was his friends,and the friend wore it in the CBI theater. The guy told me that the chin strap broke during the war so the friend replaced it with a british strap. Gary

Does the helmet have the seam of the rim in the front?

the seam will be at the front being a fixed bail version.

I could not see the seam in the pic's and thats why I was asking.

The liner looks '50s to me going by the colour OD no.7 webbing and these are getting harder to find now days
And the shell going by the pictures looks like a repaint? but I can't tell properly due to the netting

Rene some photos of the liner. The more I look at the paint the more I think this is a re-paint. I still like the helmet . What do you think of the liner.
