Schnellman, it is a French Schneider CA.1 tank, although German tank units did not use captured French tanks (unlike British tanks), on occasion German infantry would employ tanks they had captured.

Yes it is indeed a Schneider CA1 tank.

Thanks to both of you for the info. Schneider is a bit unusual of a name for a FRENCH tank.

Schneider was one of the biggest French weapons manufacturers - it's sometimes called "French Krupp". But the founder probably was of german origin, maybe from Alsace/Lorraine?
