Looks unissued, is it a 'Liberty' helmet ?
It's almost impossible to read, but there is a Bekleidungs Ambt stamp (pic 7). Only "1915" is a bit ledgable.
I bought this helmet in Belgium, but have no further info on it... so, everything is possible I guess...

thanks for your reply, i assumed from its clean/unnissued look it was possibly a so-called 'Liberty' helmet. 100's of unissued/refurbished pickelhaubes were found stored in the 'Ehrenbreitstein' a Prussian built fort which overlooks Koblenz on the far side of the Rhine, by the occupying U.S. army in 1919. They were sent home to the states and given by local commitees to people who had bought large numbers of 'War Bonds'. A few of these helmets show up now & again, usually in the U.S.A.
