    Default Panzer Assault Badges

My first post on this forum!

Always been interested in WWII and been collecting the odd original item here and there for 20 years. Just found this forum and think it's a great place to exchange ideas and information

I'm currently considering buying a Panzer Assault badge, but I'm a bit uncertain about its authenticity and suspect it could be a replica / fake.

Can anyone help me with this one?

It has L21 (Foerster & Barth, Pforzheim) stamped on the hinge.
Badge is heavy and fairly well detailed.

Also a small number on the badge proper beneath the hinge. (Sorry for the bad quality).

As far as I am aware L/21 was never a maker for the Panzerkampf Abzeichen. But i could be wrong

L/21 (F&B) never made PAB's,as John said this is a fake i've seen before. Not sure what it's trying to be. An S&L maybe? Anyway, save your money it's a fake. Stewy S

Thx a lot for the replies!
Never found L21 on this type of badges on the net, so I was suspicious.

There is good reference to makers and badges in the Collectors Guide to German Medals by Christopher Ailsby. Its not exhaustive but the main medals are listed

Hey Nick, I just slipped up on buying one of those books on an auction down here!! Will have to try and locate a copy elsewhere. Thanks for the heads up.
