    Just got this group which is a photo album some wartime company orders / letters and other docs plus a nicely produced wartime Divisional pamphlet on their role in Operation Barbarossa , including the advance through the Baltic States to Leningrad.

    93 ID was a veteran Army Group North Divison and ended up in the Kurland pocket.

    The signature is from Divisional commander Otto Tiemann who was awarded the Ritterkreuz on 28/3/1943 whilst commanding the Division in Northern Russia.

    The Album and group are from an Officer who was captured at the end of the war and went into American captivity at Dachau , after the war he worked for the American Aurhorities in the Motor pool at Dachau.

    Paul,

    Nice group, could do with his smock, facinating that a lot of the former enemy worked for their captors for a long time. I think some of the old boys knocking round Bergen were former WH, till 90s some of them still worked in Bus depot/MT/Mechanics.

    His cap or Wolchow stock would do me jock but unfortunately they wern't with it

    One of the vets who i am very friendly with who is ex Der Fuhrer used to work at one of the Armoured Barracks at Fallingbostel as did many ex German vets like you say usually in MT etc

    Thanks John the pamphlet comtains some excellent colour maps of the Divisions advance in 1941 i'll scan and post them later

    Paul,

    Was that Kassel meeting? I have heard of them but its too far south, They do one here near Fally at Dorfmark but I never go as I clean up at the markets as the dealers are there!
