    As a spin off to an earlier question about No. 6 Batalionie Telegraficzny what is the significance of the white band on the head cap of the soldier with the phone? It's not a trick of light.

    Could it be a designation of rank like corporal or lance corporal?

    Hello Chris,
    There are two possibilities. Soldier wear cap to the left side and this white band is linseed sweatbelt, or this is white band that soldiers wore during the maneuvers - there was blue, red and white band. White band was dedicated for conciliator.

    How come no insignia is being worn? I know during war/manuvers they did not wear insignia exept for they`re rank and eagle cap badges, But in this picture they do not appear to be wearing cap badges?

    Eagle wasn't always worn on the forage caps. We can see it on many photos.
