Does anyone pay that much to tour the museum?
I've just read their rules for visiting a museum: for just a collecting all the papers for entrance to the museum and other expences 120EUR is just for entrance and making the pictures ( not professional camera- professional-forbid)

The museum is not for visiting the guests- it's a closed area of a Russian ministry of defence, all the vehicles belonged to the Institut of armor, and it's still not opened each day- for visit you need wait approx a month before you got permission for entry... And of cause the money come to the pocket of some of the generals...

Thank Dimas for further details !! that is good for some Generals $$$
I sure enjoyed my visit to Kubinka immensely.
Here are a few pics from my trip there.
From what I have read the Russian military have/had(?) a policy of regarding all weapons/vehicles found, dug up, etc in their country as belonging to Them. All such items, on being discovered are handed into the state and then profesionally restored and kept in museums for future use. Therefore in times of war all these old historic vehicles are a reserve force and can be "called-up" and put in to fighting action.

It is said that history is an agreed upon lie
when we complain about the price of admittance, it is also inmportant to understand, that Kubinka is NOT a museum per se. It is more correctly called a "proving ground."
From what I know Kubinka is worth every penny to go to. I live close to Bovi and feel I'am lucky but can only dream of going to Kubinka!!!!!
