Default Dutch SS volunteer helmet real

Hello everybody

I have included some pics of a Dutch SS volunteer division which fought in Russia. Is this helmet an original or a fake. I am thinking of buying this helmet. What would be a fair price?

Thanks Mike

Poor pics to make a serious evaluation. Based on what I see just leave it where it is.

Better pics are needed for a proper evaluation but as my esteemed colleague has stated, you are better off moving along from I see.

The name Theunisszoon does not exist in The Netherlands, nor Belgium. Of course it could be he was the last of the line, but unlikely!

I wonder whether M42's received national colours in the latter part of the war? Usually the "wolfshook" was placed on both sides.

I think it is a "made up" helmet.

Emile

The original placing of the insignia looks wrong.

Left side original, i thought, would carry the DutchSS ''Wolfs Hook'' insignia. With the colours to the right of the helmet.

The colours on the left of this helmet look to be the wrong way round as a result. Unless there was some variation allowed at some point during the war.

Just my humble.

Z.

I don't like it at all, even if I can see just the name on the apron

I don't have more info about the helmet. I also have my doubts about the decalls on the helmet. I have never seen the wolfsangle printed on a helmet. I will visit the guy who is trying to sell this to me this week. I will take some more pics. And place them in this thread. Thanks for the reply's so far.
