Default ID help on ID, please

I am in possession of a bracelet that belonged to my father-in-law, who was in the Navy in WWII. I am trying to determine if this was a military issue "alternate/supplement" to his dog tags or, perhaps, a gift/memento for his sweetheart (later to be his wife).

Thanks (in advance) for your help.

    Rick

Hi Rick, welcome to the forum!

This was a private purchase item, bought at the serviceman's own or his family's expence.

    Cheers, Ade.
