Folks,
I visited RAF Hendon Aircraft Museum on the outskirts of London last weekend and wanted to share some of the photos of the aircraft on display. The museum is located about 30 minutes outside of central London and is accessible via the underground, train or car. The official name is RAF Museum London but it is situated on the old RAF Hendon site. Entry is free although you can make a donation as i did to the museum.
The is the 3rd time i've visited over the last 35 years and it's still just as impressive each time i go. There are some 90 aircraft on display including Avro Lancaster, B24 Liberator, B17 Flying Fortress, FW190, ME109, Spitfire, Hurricane, Avro Vulcan and many more. There are a total of 6 hangars, although i thought the newly refurbished hangers could of had more aircraft.
I hope you enjoy the photos of these iconic aircraft,
Nick
