Hi All,

Could you please take a look at this GAB?
I have little knowledge of these, bought it years and years ago, so not much financial harm done if wrong.

There is some pitting to the semi-hollow back which makes me tilt to reproduction.
But the crimp hing puzzles me, is that something often encountered on fakes?
The wire c-hook looks convincing.

I could not find an exact hardware match, although I see similarities with this one:
Algemeen Assault Badge. Rudolf Karneth
But that one has a repair at the hing and should be a crimped-in ball-hinge I think?

In my opinion an original badge attributed to Karneth. The ball hinge is more commonly seen but as far as I know, this is an accepted variant.

So Karneth used more hardware types but I got stuck on the ball hinge. Now I know what to look for it is easier.
