Need Opinions on this Rabbit Fur Hat

Hi all,

I have the opportunity to get this for a very good price and want a second opinion. The only thing that seems out of the ordinary to me is the lining material. I’ve only ever seen these with rayon/artificial silk, especially for a 1944 dated cap.

I specifically chose mine to not have the rayon lining.
I believe the date is 1943.
