27” Reichsbahn Railway Eagle by Henschel-Werke

Hello,

I am grateful to have a Railway Reichsbahn Eagle coming back into my collection. Thanks to JR from Meda Militaria for helping me land this bird. They are getting harder to find and if you are going to get one JR is a great source and knows these birds well. This 27” example was manufactured by Henschel-Werke, Kassel Germany. Nice even patina throughout on this one with threaded mounting posts intact. 3 of the 4 posts were drilled out in center likely by veteran for display purposes. When my new collection room is finished this fall it will be a nice highlighted header piece.

Years ago in 2020 I sold my 27" Railway Reichsbahn Eagle by Rheinmetall Borsig in order to raise some funds for Mom's Alzheimers. I regretted selling that bird but it was the right thing to do at the time. Here was that eagle. 27" Deutsche Reichsbahn Eagle - Rhein Metall / Borsig

I can only imagine it now on the wall, with a TR flag as a back drop and some appropriately drop lights to illuminate it. It will look great!!
