@verikauha I guess the artic climate helps preserve things a lot, specially items on the surface, but for buried items its about the soil conditions.

Spring is happening slowly here at the moment, the ground is still frozen but now the night temps is above zero so things will happen fast and I ll soon be out in the woods again. The lighter on the left side seems to be common model from 1930's- I have one that was from that time frame- managed to restore them in working condition. The "shell" shaped one I myself had found only once- just in brown color. Cool finds- thanks for sharing.
