U-Boots Kriegsabzeichen - Schwerin
Hi all,
Have never purchased any German naval awards before, but I have always wanted one. This Schwerin U-Boots Kriegsabzeichen has got me interested. I have compared the back setup with other Schwerin and it looks like a genuine tombak to me.
What is your opinion?
Thanks
Jonas

Looks like a casting to me too.
There is clear damage to the eagles chest.
But I don't like all roughness to it.
Cheers, Ade.

This award appears to be a replica in my opinion, it just lacks sharpness overall. Personally, I would not buy it.

It look's as if the clasp and catch were recently applied as well to my eyes . There seems to still be residue left from the flux paste from brazing or silver solder which should have wore off many years ago.

100% repro, and not a very good one at that.........!
Look at the eagles wings - they are not
level across the top.
