Hello,
Trying to identify the signatures on the 2 awards here and also how to locate info on the soldier who received them?
Being offered these, thank you.

Hi there.
I have had a search for the soldier and have found no information.
Kind regards,
Will.
You think maybe these documents are not legit?
if I look in this list of Names of Dutch men in the Waffen SS .....
Nederlanders in dienst van de Waffen-SS – www.ndwss.nl
I do not find that name.... Which does not mean he did not excist because list is not complete.... But I see already a warning signal....
searching for a list of the iron cross 2nd class..... that name should be there if real.... https://www.tracesofwar.com/awards/8...t&abc=W&page=4 in the thousands of names NObody with the name Ernst WYS ( or Weis or wijs )
Thank you for the replies.
So to back off these 2 documents?
No idea to be honest....
i was wondering why a 3 voluntary legion soldier gets a document signed by the 2 nd infantary brigade ,
But that seems correct : "In 1942, the 19th and 21st Latvian Security Battalions from the Latvian Legion were attached to the Brigade. The brigade now included Dutch, Flemish and Norwegian volunteer legions" ...
In the autogram is written : " ss brigade fuhrer und General major der Waffen SS" which made me also doubt but apparently this was the same rank written in two different ways...... So that i scorrect..... ( this is not helping). Would search then for that autograph.... according to the web this would be Karl von Fischer-Treuenfeld
The EK signature is SS-Brigadeführer Friedrich Edler von Rarancze Scholz.
Signature looks OK? ink and typing? but there is no record of the soldier online...
Don't know what to do, if legit or not...
Thank you Kevin! excellent detective work!
