    Hey all,

I have a kind of m1910 look a like canteen with an unfamiliar belt attachment. On the back of the canteen pouch there is a Canadian proofmark visible with an arrow like maple leaf en inspection marks. The canteen pouch is of solid quality and somewhat similar to the m1910. The fastners are different en there is no belt hook, but some other kind of belt attachment, more mounted version. The belt attachment and little webbing part are more similiar to British webbing. I believe it is part of the pattern 51? When the Canadian army combined US and British design for their webbing. If so... What is this belt attachment? And why is this pouch khaki colored and not darker olive drab introduced late and post war? I appreciate your help!
