Hey, I belive this is a finnish sidecap. The construction seems maybe even pre-war. Any info would be appriciated

Yes a pre war Finnish other ranks side cap , is there any marking inside the cap ?

m/39 sidecap for enlisted men, cockade indicates to NCO.

More likely 1941-44 made, seeing how cheaply and from rough war-time quality cloth it is made of.
And it doesn't have weapon branch color piping, only enlisted men sidecaps don't have it.

Only officers had chance to buy make these in 1939 before winter war. Later it became more popular with common soldiers. It was optional private purchase hat.
