Any tips and tricks on this subject? One thing I have been doing is collecting examples of makers log's or other cap markings and where possible with the dates of the cap they are in. Oli's book, a must for any collectors of such caps and has quite a few examples with dates for WWII and after. If there is any interest I'll start adding the ones I have collected.
