The hangers do look quite new to me.
Kind regards.

Nice mid production period example with a Type 4 crossguard
The hangers are period correct but were added at some point and not original to the dagger.

The blade looks minty too
The scabbard is correct as well with one single screw on reverse side of the scabbard.

Thanks Larry
I think it will be a good addition to my collection.
Textbook Eickhorn type 4, as Larry stated.
The Portepee is not tied correctly.

Thanks a lot Ger for taking your time to look at it!!
To be 100% certain I add 2 new pictures from the seller, on my request.
Someone (only 1- the others said it was okay) on the WAF said the pommel didn’t look like an eickhorn, therefore I add these detailed pictures (in the previous pictures the pommel and the ferrule were not clearly good visible).
Hope it is nothing, but would like to be certain.
In that case the WaF members doesnt know what he is talking about.
This is a textbook later type.
Dont worry
Ger
Thanks a lot Ger!
Now I’m sure and I can add it to my collection.
