Hi everyone! Could I please get some opinions on this one? It possibly looks cleaned to me by looking at the hilt but I'm not a edged weapons guy.

Was rusty and pitted, now cleaned, IMO.

Like Ralph said, it's been cleaned but it displays very well.
It's not overly buffed and polished like some people do. It just looks like it
has brought back to it's original finished look--except for the pitting, of coarse.

I was addicted to the "Hokey-Pokey" but I've turned
myself around.
It is of course a S98/05 nA model. The frog marked 1916 is correct for period and maker Durkopp only made the "nA" version in 1916-17. From 1917 the sawback bayonets still in service were having the saw tooth edge ground off. Nice example.
