Imperial Enamel

I love Imperial miniatures and my newest mini is a tiny work of art.
A Bavarian MVO4 with swords. (Militär-Verdienstorden 4kl.)

The cross is only 17mm wide by 21mm tall. The real gold center medallion is 7.2mm
in dia. The crossed swords device is separately applied with tiny little prongs.

I think I picked up a similar example but without ribbon and button attachment. (It came with it's big brother ) Ribbon is a repro.

Once I find my camera (misplaced it during the house renovation ) I will try to take decent photos of both and have a stand alone thread.

Maker is Gebruder Hemmerle.

That's a particularly good example, with the signature wide frame on the six o'clock arm. It's getting hard to find these without enamel damage. Really good find.
