thoughts on this SS DD helmet?

stumbled upon this SS helmet, it's probly a fake considered they are faked to high heaven but still would want to have someone elses eyes on this aswell. so please give me your analysis on it would also appreciate some more pointers on what to look out for on these things

With my very little knowledge about helmets, let me try to do an analysis.
IMO: paint, decals, liner, chinstrap, all bad.
Maybe the shell (m40) is good, but you can't see stamps the from the photos.
Not to mention that a double decal m40 would be quite rare and expensive.
Experts will give you a definitive answer.
And maybe they will correct me.

thank you for your input, yea the missing stamps is what has me worried aswell, seller sadly has not provided any other photos for the time being. yea like I mentioned I don't expect this to be any good, but you never know.

If the shell has been repainted, perhaps the stamps on the skirt are there ,but they are under the paint.
As I mention on my first post, let's wait for the experts.

When someone decides it is a good idea to blowtorch the liner leather to "add" to the story I'm already walking away.

You think that's what caysed the charcoal look on the liner? Yeah nah I would too

Yea that was what I thought aswell would be the most likely case. But yea lets hear some more peoples opinions

I have my doubts on the originality of the shell. If correct, the rest is moot.
